We understand that losing your asset can be a difficult experience. That’s why we offer you the option to reclaim your personal property or even the asset itself.

To reclaim your asset, please get in touch with your lienholder on your purchase contract and negotiate the terms of repayment. Once your lienholder sends the release documentation (usually 2 business days), schedule an appointment online by clicking the Book Appointment button at the top of this page.

What happens to my personal belongings after the vehicle is repossessed?
Your personal belongings are inventoried and securely stored for 30, 45 or 60 days. Then the property is separated and donated to various charities in the metroplex based on needs.

Are there any fees to get my personal belongings back?
There can be, every lienholder has different procedures and fees pertaining to personal property. Because there is a cost to us, there are fees. These fees, in some cases, are billed directly to the lienholder, but in other cases, the lienholder wants us to collect the fees from the owner of the property.

How do I redeem my car after I have paid the lienholder the amount due?
Once the release documentation has been received from the lienholder, which can take up to two full business days, you’ll be contacted by the HNS Recovery team to schedule a time to redeem your vehicle.

Where is the vehicle taken after being repossessed?
The vehicle is taken to one of our secure storage facilities and held until further notice from the lien holder. Please contact your lien holder with questions related to your vehicle.

Do I come to the storage after my asset has been recovered?
No, you will not be seen without a scheduled appointment. Appointments are a requirement, and you can schedule one by clicking the book appointment link at the top of this page. Please do not schedule an appointment to redeem your vehicle until you have confirmation from your lienholder that they have sent the proper release documentation.

Are there any fees to redeem my vehicle from HNS Recovery after I pay my lienholder?
Yes, there are storage and administrative fees that will be collected at the time of redemption. These fees will vary. We cannot release the asset until we have received the documents from the lien holder. Assets cannot be released without receiving the release documents from the lienholder. Please be aware that it can take up to 2 business days (excluding weekends) from the time you pay the lienholder for them to upload the required documents and for our team to process that documentation.

Will I have to forfeit my vehicle’s keys when I redeem my personal belongings?
Yes, it’s mandatory that you bring the keys when you pick up your personal belongings.

Does HNS Recovery take checks or credit cards?
No, we only accept money orders.
